Account Manager

 

Position: Account Manager

Location: Detroit, MI


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

Utilize consultative/strategic sales skills to close new business. Also identify and communicate with senior level client contacts, build relationships, probe, listen, overcome objections, resolve client concerns.

MAJOR AREAS OF PERFORMANCE:

  • Full cycle sales experience REQUIRED

  • Experience developing, cultivating, and closing opportunities with Fortune 100 Clients

  • Manage/facilitate the execution of client parameters and specifications, ensuring quality program completion.

  • Ability to develop and grow a book of business in a Fortune 500 environment to meeting internal sales targets.

  • Influence, delegate, and communicate, in a deadline driven environment, ensuring sound planning, good service, and a solid client relationship.

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of activities carried out on behalf of assigned clients; change plans as necessary to produce results.

  • Keeping management informed of the status of accounts, problems, plans and meetings, as well as involving Management personnel at key times.

  • Work 8:00am to5:00pm with overtime as needed. Travel as needed.

 QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS) REQUIRED:

  • Self-motivated.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent customer service and client communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Five + years of related experience.

  • Excellent working knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and others as required.
